She finds things have not been as they appear and her life could be in danger with her insight into a note pad containing delicate data. With a specific end goal to remain under the radar, she changes her name to Irene Glasson, abandons her Packard along the street and turns into a chatter columnist in California. Following the trail of a best in class performing artist, she finds another dead body, this one having a place with her source. While attempting to get to reality of what happened she builds up an association with the director of the lodging (Oliver Ward) where the performer is remaining.
